Brive back Jamie Noon has been recalled to the Senior England EPS following a left ankle injury sustained by Dan Hipkiss who was playing for Leicester Tigers on the weekend.

Joe Worsley (London Wasps) has been included in the squad but did not train today after playing for London Wasps on Sunday and he will be assessed by the England medical team in the morning.

Noon won the last of his 38 caps when he played against Italy in their Six Nations clash last February.

Another player who has been out in the cold Charlie Hodgson returned on Monday to train with the squad after first choice fly-half Jonny Wilkinson reported "muscle tightness".

Hodgson, 29, played the last of his 31 tests against New Zealand in 2008 - in which he had a dreadful game - and there has been no indication from England that Wilkinson, whose form has been criticised in this Six Nations especially his performance in the narrow 17-12 victory over Italy, in any danger of missing Saturday's game against Ireland.

England, who have won both their matches so far, are expected to name their side to face Ireland - whose chances of repeating their Grand Slam success disappeared in a 33-10 humbling by France last time out - on Tuesday.

The England test 22 to play Ireland in the 2010 RBS 6 Nations on Saturday, February 27 (kick off 4pm) will be announced tomorrow.
